Who makes the best single action mechanical fuel pump for an 8ba? I just got one from Bob Drake but the arm where is attaches to the push rod doesn't seem to have the right angle for the cup to fit the shaft. Thanks in advance for any input.
I bought an Airtex mechanical pump for my 8ba from my local parts store. IIRC it had a lifetime warranty at the time I bought it. Been working for at least 4 years with no issues with crappy California gas.
i bought one from drake a few years ago...junk. best i think is have your original rebuilt. charlie schwendler in ny is one, there are others. sorry i do not have charlies contact, i find it if no one else chimes in
Autozone no longer carries Airtex pumps for a flathead but I was able to find one on Amazon. Thanks for the replies. How does Drake sell a pump that just plain won't work?
