some one know where to purchase full glass kit, I live in nw indiana, prefer somewhere close. tell me your thoughts. humbly john!
Most glass shops can make the panels from patterns available from Bob Drake and others if you don't have any originals. Many from my area in South Bend/Mishawaka have had ours made by a shop about 30 miles S.E of here, including my '40, but there is a shop in SB that can also make them.
Not all that close but Auto City Classic Glass in Minnesota has some good reviews from what I've heard. Never bought glass from them bought a brake kit from them. https://www.autocityclassic.com
I've had good luck with Auto City Classic as well. https://www.autocityclassic.com/1940-2dr-coupe-business-standard-67a-b-deluxe-77a-b/
Make sure you get the correct thickness and tint. My glass is 1/4 inch thick with sealed black edges. Get proper glass setting tape also.
I got mine from Bob's Classic Auto Glass. He is on the west coast, but shipping is not problem. http://www.vendio.com/stores/bobscl...s/1940-ford-coupe-windows-classi/lid=34059110 -Abone.
I had the local glass shop in my town to replace windshield a couple times in my Model A. Also replaced a side window for me. Also did an emergency windshield repair on a T roadster for a Canadian friend on a trip through my area. Replacing flat glass is not a specialty. Google glass and mirror repair and pick someone in your area. Phil
