Technical 1955 Star Chief

I have read conflicting answers to this question. I have seen a Safari with 17”x8” wheels all around. And I have read that fitting a 215 tire might rub? I have a set of 15 x 7 chevy light truck wheels I want to roll it around on so what size tire will fit the rear?

you need a small tire like a 700-15.

 

well that’s the same as a 225 75R 15.So a 215 should fit.
