Good morning. I’ve just joined the group this morning, and thought I’d say hello and introduce myself. My name is John, I’m a 57 year old mechanical engineer from West Yorkshire England. I have a ‘51 Ford F-1 Pickup (deluxe extra cab) with the original 239 cu Flathead V8 and 3-speed manual column change box & 6 - volt electrics, which spent time in Missouri before ending it’s US days in Colorado Springs before being imported by the previous owner (the guy I bought it from) in 2004 where it spent the next 7 years in Scotland, which I’ve owned since May 2012, and driven a fair bit with great pleasure... I’m currently finishing rebuilding the engine and am struggling a little with the valve gear, but I’ll cover that in a separate post. Motorcycle wise, I have a 1982 Honda 750cc V4 (VF750/V45 Sabre) and an original 1975 Harley Davidson FLH 1200 Shovelhead Electraglide. I look forward to providing a positive contribution wherever I can, and getting to know many other like-minded members. Kind regards to all. John.
Thank you everyone for your kind welcome aboard. I’m sure I’ll enjoy my time here very much. I look forward to getting to know you all, and your cool rides/projects. Kind regards. John
Thank you - Yes some of us older individuals are finally starting to get the hang of it, believe it or not........
Sorry we don’t, the ones on our own aren’t great..... I’ll keep my eyes and ears open up here in our part of the world. Kind regards. John.
