Hot Rods Model A Splash apron question

I'm only running splash aprons on a 31 Roadster build. Do they go under or on top of the metal subframe. New to the A's couldn't find this on line Don't want to get ahead of myself Txs

They sit on the frame on top of the welting fabric and then the subrails go over the top of them.

 

actually the wooden body blocks sit on the aprons then the subframe sits on the blocks

 

That is correct...they sit up in the sub rails on top of the apron.

 

Couple of sheet metal screws to hold them in place ? Thanks for the pic !

 

there are holes for a couple 1/4"oval head bolts.
