Hudson Stepdown V-8 people

I seen one with a 460 so if it fit I think a 390 should fit too.

 

Sorry to bring this post back from the dead , but I’m a bit desperate for some info / helpful tips .

I have a ‘50 hudson commodore and my flathead 6 finally ate its self . I have a Cadillac 472 and th400 that id like to swap in but can’t find anything about a BBC or the odd bird 472 being swapped in .

does anyone have any info , pics or anyone you might be able to point me to that might have info ?

I called the cad500.com guys and got good info on the engine but they had not had any experience with Or worked with anyone to put a 472 Into a hudson . They were however pretty interested in what they thought sounded like a great idea haha
