Here are some family photos. The first one is my grandparent's house in Hillsdale, New Jersey. the rest of the photos were taken in front of this house, looking uphill. I don't know why they liked to take so many pictures there, but many of them include interesting cars. The little girl in the plaid coat in the group of 4 pics is my mother. the next one is her and me re-enacting the top left shot in 2016, when my wife and I took her up there for a visit. Next is 2 more of her, then a group pic, with my grandmother at the back left. next is an unknown couple, then my mother, father, and older brother, then my uncle holding my brother, by my dad's Studebaker.
My grandfather was a cop from 1930 to 1964, police chief from 45 to 64, in Hillsdale New Jersey. Here's a few photos to start. He's third from left in the first pic, with my mom in the second. If anyone can ID the car in the third one, I'd like to know.
General Motors Ternstedt plant. 80 acres, built '37, closed '98. Built Avenger bomber planes during WWII; they taxied across the public roadway to the nearby airport to fly off for distribution (Eastern Aircraft Corp). Ewing NJ '41 ~
They say the girls all look prettier at closing time, I have to say I was NEVER THAT DRUNK That gal is what my buddy would call a double bagger, you need two bags over her face in case the first one would break
This very early RADAR set up would alert people as they approached a speed trap by lighting off their Jiffy-Pop and melting their ice cream. Lepus, thank you for sharing these great family photos!
