We finally changed out the rear leaf springs to 2 1/2 wide springs. It took sometime to put the right combination together. We made the leaf spring front hangers. We used Aerostar front coils with one coil cut to get the wheel well gap right. It also brought the camber into spec. We have a 1949 Plymouth owners manual and copied the ride height front the picture on the cover. 0624201148a_Signature.jpg 0624201148b_Signature.jpg

So what are your plans for it? And where are you located?

Nice car. Perhaps it is the camera angle, but the rear wheel appears too far forward in the wheel opening. If so, a new hole drilled in the spring pad for the spring bolt, like is done on early Chevys, could correct that fairly easily.

I am a long time ‘49 Plymouth fan and have had a few. My current one is a Deluxe Club Coupe/ aka Two Door Sedan and have had since early 1995.
