Customs Which 1940 grille?

Hi,

I’ll be looking for a new 1940 ford grille.
Vintique, Speedway, Drake.
What are you experiences?

And is the Drake grille treated with copper and nickle before chroming?

A buddy needed one last year and he is a dealer for Bob Drake, everybody was out of stock. He finally found one on another dealers shelf.

 

Deluxe or standard? Deluxe only Drake or orig rechromed--others don't fit well. Std Drake or orig again. The grill is a major part of how the whole front clip will fit. They are around if you look hard. OK looked at pics--need a deluxe.

I used 2 1940 DeLuxe grilles, I had one years ago that was junk and made in Argentina. HRP

 

What olscrounger said... Drake is the only one that fits right. Good look with your search!

 

There are hamb guys that have one maybe-they may contact you--good luck
I have a friend with maybe 5 orig rechromed ones but he won't turn em loose-tried many times.
I have one as well rechromed with excellent side vent panels but keeping it in case mine gets whacked.
