Technical Intake manifold port question.

    What is this port used for? This manifold came on the engine I recently picked up, most likely going to swap manifolds but I am a curious fella. And yes that is a frozen burrito, thanks.

  2. Exhaust heat port for a choke stove... If you're running an electric choke, block this off.

    um I don't think my carbs even have chokes, was about to post another thread with questions regarding them. Holley 9776's

    Build you a block off plate or buy one if you feel the need to spend the money.
    You can wrap your burrito in aluminum foil and cook it on the manifold after you get it installed.
    Works great on a trip. Have cooked lots of meals on the manifold when I was in the army.

    That must be an Edelbrock 3701 Performer manifold, you can mount an EGR valve there if your car needs to pass an emissions check.

    Or, just block it if you don't need an EGR port.
