Technical Anybody using Tamco paint/clear?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by RMR&C, Jun 2, 2020.

  1. Curious if anyone here has used their paint products and how you like them? Prices and reviews(on their site) seem really good.
I just ordered some DTM primer to try out.

    YES YES YES!!!
    Its now all I shoot.
The colors cover in 1 coat very nicely. The clears are amazing, I use a lot of the Hi-Impact stuff, rarely ever buff it, and has a lot of durability.
the 5310 galva prime, DTM, youll be hooked! Its like cake batter, it fills better than feather fill. I mix it 4.1.1. for my final sand, makes it go on a lot smoother. sands real nice too

These are all from my bucket build, tamco primer color and clear.
I'm an amateur paint in the garage guy, and it makes me look like a pro. And tammy is always there for customer service.

Mailbox shot with hi-impact tamco. It was beside a gravel road for 5 years. Only thing that dulled its shine was a shotgun.

Never cut and buffed, never waxed, off the gun and into the sun.

I also now only use Tamco for my paint projects. I love the high contact clear and the galv primer. I have also ordered several quarts of classic OEM colors and the color match has been pretty spot on. Tammy over at Tamco has even called (and texted) me directly when there was a problem with my order. It's affordable, has good UV resistance and sprays well. Whats not to love?

Recent job, unpolished, using their HC-2100 clear, done in my garage

Their packages seem to come out of Emporia, VA. I would assume that is roughly where they are located as well.

I fell for it after getting a quart sample of clear. works so well. It makes me look like I know what im doing. I can shoot flake, 2/3 coats of clear, hit it with 320 dry, another 2/3 coats and its ready to go

I'm trying the hi-build epoxy primer now. Hope it holds up in the long run. HOK epoxy is getting crazy expensive!
