Coolest fix ever. Had a couple AN fittings weeping possibly from being over tightened. In a bad place to get my flaring tool. Found these little babies made by Earls. Snaps on male fitting. Embossed with a very thin rubber. No more leak. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I had a leak on a fuel line AN fitting on my roadster a couple years back. A friend who repairs commercial jets for a living told me a story about flying to Alaska to retrieve an ailing 737 with a fuel leak. He slipped a conical seal into the leaky fitting and they flew it back to California to be properly repaired. FAA doesn't approve of the use. He gave me a hand full of 6's and 8's and I repaired my seeping fittings and it has been no issue since. These weren't rubber coated, just uber thin metallic conical seals.
Don’t have a picture of it installed but it just snaps on the flare of the male fitting. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Yeah I’ve seen those before. Much more expensive. These little caps are three dollars and I suppose they are permanent as well. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
The weird thing is, all the stainless lines I made, brake and fuel lines, The only ones that leak are on the suction side of the fuel pump. It’s like a static leak. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
