Technical What size should I chop my windshield

    I'm looking to chop my windshield on my Ford roadster calling some ideas on how big of chop I should have if people having some pictures showing me some ideas on how big of a chop I should make

  2. How tall are you,what seats are you using? Looking at the top bar will ruin your enjoyment.I would dummy up a frame,and lower it until the top became a problem.

    we used to have the guy sit in the car, have another stand in front of it, flip the driver the bird... if he could see the bird it was not chopped enough.... back in the 90s... RIP Skippa.

    I'll second Irishsteve's recommendation to mock up your windshield and sit in the car. If it turns out that the windshield height is higher then you like the look of, then start looking at lowering your seat or even leaning the backrest.
     

  5. It's a visual thing. Both how it looks overall and how well you can see through it. The perfect number seems to be different for all of us. It's up to you to find the Happy Spot.

    My 27 T is 4" short of full hight original d.jpg and I have MGA seats an inch off the floor.

    I cut 3” from my roadster windshield and lower the seat .[​IMG]

    3" chopped deluxe stanchions and frame. Lean it back for mean, flop it up for that church boy look.
