History History of shaved door hinges?

    Dang I love that wetzel car ! Wish the article showed the hinges. Just states custom hidden and house type hinges.

    I'm sorry but that caddy motor would stay where it's at. Unusual to see the gas door like that. 1952 so I guess you could use that gas door as an early example too.

    I'm one who likes hidden hinges too.

    A couple of perspectives well stated to my original intent. Really appreciate the pictures, perspective, and experience everyone has shared. Too bad world history isn’t as interesting as hot rod history...perhaps I would have done better in those classes!

    recessed tag, gas door and hidden hinges. The glass looks to be installed from the inside. definitely different looking
    wonder if Boyd built a time machine to do stuff like this to mess with folks
