I really like the pledge idea. To get them off, I used to spray the front of the car with simple green, let it soak for a few minutes and they washed right off.

Juliano's have a nice screen, easy to clip on, clip off for those longer trips. They advertise for a 32, but will make for an A as well. I have an expanded metal insert as well, but it is still a bug collector.

Some of the bug screens may make your car run a little warmer.

  4. I have a phobia about silicon or anything similar in the shop, down to and including tire shine.
I've had bad experiences with paint jobs contaminated with what I think was some sort of slick shine.
I'm sure there are plenty of safe alternatives now, but it's soap, water and maybe a little extra paste wax on the painted parts.

  5. Put a bug screen on it. If you want to be "traditional", print: Move Over on it, in reversed letters.

Speaking bugs, what is the last thing that goes through a bugs mind when it hits your windshield?

  7. That looks professional! Not the soapy water we have at our gas stations now.

50/50 mix of peroxide and water for cleaning bugs off. Use pledge on plastic interior pieces after cleaning. It keeps the dust off just like your wood end table.

Put a bug screen on it and don't worry about it. Looks like your running a 32 shell anyways.

After a few years of fighting bugs on my Model A, I inserted some plastic house window screen between the grill shell and the radiator. It is very easy to hose off with the hose at an angle to the screen.
