Hello. Welcome to the latest video offering from Mart's Garage. Note the new channel name. In this episode I button up the top end of the Crusty Flatty. This is the final video in the build series. We've had the teardown, the machining and repairs, and now the build is complete. But don't despair. We still have to get this thing installed in a vehicle, put all the ancillaries in place, get it running and eventually take it for the first drive. Will it grenade on the first fireup? Will those sketchy bearings and rods knock like hell? Have I bored it too tight? Is it too loose? How about the valves? Thanks for following on this journey. But stick around. there's so much more to see. I'm trying to build the channel so please subscribe, and share with friends. And please reply to this thread to give it a bump. Thanks. Mart.
And he crosses the finish line!!! Lots of fun watching, listening and learning. Thank you and congrats. looking forward to you firing it off.
Waiting anxiously for the start up. I was out pounding on my flathead (not my actual head but my engine) yesterday, have to say I love these things. The sound is amazing, it smells odd but cool, and now that I have it broke in it really does scoot. Nothing quite like them.
