It amazing watching them travel around a track with no regard to traffic or the fact those things could flip over without a roll bar. Crazy Hotrodders.
Wouldn’t it be fun racing those small gas operated speedsters on a track like that.

That Model Car racing was pretty serious business...that track is massive...

Tether Cars come to mind...are these the same just tethered by raised lane divisions. I suppose this was superseded by the More modern Slot Cars...but those vintage cars were really revered and highly detailed as I have seen some here...I believe @Dean Lowe has one maybe more not to mention having grew up behind the wheel of the real deal...thanks for sharing...

The Dry Lakes footage is really awesome as well...they must have had chase cars ripping the lake alongside the record seekers...and the clarity of some of that is better than a lot of that footage I have seen to date...

Thanks for sharing those Dean...so were these Mini Racers dual purpose as in tied to a pole in tether or divided lane tracks as seen in the start of the Video Ryan posted?

  15. As far as I know the Mite cars were always tethered. Too light to run without jumping the divider untethered.
