My friend has a 46 Ford rear axle that has a Hot Rod Works open drive pinion adaptor fitted. Now he needs a new oil seal and was wondering if anyone has a cross reference number for the seal which is stamped USA CR2106. Thank You.

When I had my '42 PU, I found one at Mac's as I recall.

Have you tried calling Hot Rod Works? I had problems locating a wheel seal for a FatMan front end. One call and I got the correct part number.

  4. Or any bearing supply house should be able to cross reference a CR2106...

  5. X2, or just call Hot Rod Works. Either way should be successful getting a replacement seal.

Thanks for the replies guys. The guy has tried bearing shops here in the UK for a cross reference with no luck. What makes it hard is that the seal was damage getting it out so cannot take any measurements. So it looks like he will have to get one from the Hot Rod Works.

Can you take measurements from the pinion yoke and the housing?

  11. I wasn't sure how Amazon shipping was to UK, so looked for UK supplier.
