1934 ford rear springs. Parallel or transverse? Just wanting thoughts as im contemplating a 9 inch rear.
I hung the QC in my 34 with quarter elliptical springs from posies. Looks cool, rides nice, easy height adjustment side to side,
I have seen 32/34 Ford PU"s with parallel rear springs.I think 55-59 Chevy truck front springs were used.Box the rear of the rails, and add a real welded in cross bar instead of a bolt in .Make sure your tank, and rear splash panel will clear everything.
Here is my old '34 with parallel leaf. If you look closely, you can see the back half of the leaf spring. It never bothered me, but it bothered the hell out of a buddy of mine. He talked shit on it every time he saw the car. this is my under construction '33 with a transverse spring. (don't look at the color.) Properly set up, both will ride and handle very well, but the transverse spring is way more traditional. -Abone.
