  1. I can relate to the guy. If you have something its usually because you like it. and if you sell it even for a pile of money you like more than the something. pretty soon the money is spent and you don't have anything. So you become a Hoarder. And quite often other people are quite fond of telling others what they Ought to do with their stuff. when the only person who has the authority and right to make that decision is the rightful owner. Back when fuel was $4 and scrap was high. I was driving Truck. I can in one day and my wife and youngest son Who still lived at home at that time where elated. A scrap man came by and offered 90 thousand for my Hoard. They where already planning how they where gonna spend the money. I stated that's all well and good except for one thing. Its my stuff and if I decide to sell it you don't get one red cent. I contacted the scrap man and told him where to go. I enjoy being a hoarder.

Maybe not really HAMB worthy but this would have made a cool car hauler. Took a trip out in the middle of nowhere to look. My buddy has been looking for a Pontiac manual trans bellhousing. We were told this 57 GMC had the Pontiac in it. It does.

I don't know if I have ever seen one of these before. Not only does the hood open but the sides open also. The problem is the cab is basically rust held together with paint. Not sure if we will try and find a way to drag it home or not.

  7. that will have a 347 engine. The stick bell will accept the car transmissions. there Is a Guy on U Tube Classic Truck Rescue. He has several of those GMC big trucks. A pickup cab is pretty much the same as a big truck cab.

  8. Well I actually bought that Gem today for the exorbant sum of $50. Its not getting drug 150 miles to my place. I will remove the rear doors and maybe strip so parts from the engine. Its not a Hemi.

    Skim,

What's the story on this? If this hasn't been rescued yet, it needs to be...

  16. Here's one I acquired in '07. I pulled a 55 nomad out that was sitting next to it about 10 years before that, the convertible hadn't been touched in that time.

I do believe I have found my next project, spoke to the land owner, who will sell should his brother no longer be interested in it.

That is a pretty fancy 2 door Falcon wagon, I have never seen one with all of that trim, that's pretty cool.

    Scotty,

that Nomad looks to be a further gone than the one that skim posted. However, is should still donate all of the Nomad specific trim and such to another Nomad or clone.

  22. Clone? Ha ha. That was at an auction about 5 years ago it Titusville Fla. Not sure what happened to it. There were a lot of other tri five chevies, I’m sure it went to the cause.

  23. You might want to check to see if that glass is available first.

  24. Hard to see those abandoned Nomads. I'm glad to see they're trying to save this old 55 Chevy at least. 20191103_093049.jpeg 20191103_092913.jpeg

If this is a HAMB member and they do not want these posted I will take them down but they were directly next to a Chevy with a for sale sign taped to it and in plain sight.

I’m not too concerned about the back glass as I would intend to make a ranchero out of it
