This speedo is from a parts stash that a friend who passed had. I'm helping his widow dispose of some of it so I'd like to know what year and model this speedo is from. All I know is that its a Waltham and that the trip meter works. Thanks.
I know that Waltham made a lot of Speedos for Ford. It's been a while but it looks like a 38. Mabe some of the better ford guys can lend some info
This site might help with identification of instruments you might have: https://sites.google.com/site/identifyinginstrumentpanels/home/clusters-1930s
There is a guy here on the hamb that rebuilds speedos. He's in Colorado. Look him up in the index. He can only rebuild Stewart Warners since there are no parts available for the Walthams. The one you sho appears to have been altered and not in working order. By comparison, I bought a near perfect '34 soeedo for $69 about two years ago. It's now in my sedan. The one you have may bring $30--40 for parts. Strictly my opinion Tim
The face and guts might be 36-ish Ford, the outer housing is totally wrong. Somebody kludged that thing together.
The face is both 35 and 36 but the tabs on the housing dont look right. Bezel doesn't look correct either.
