I agree with Deuces. I would park it in my barn for sure (and drive the hell out of it as well).

I edited it and recopied the link and reattached it.
it is a link to the Ford vs Ferrari movie and has a bunch of cool Corvettes in it.

I think the problem I encountered may somehow be at my end. I had the same error message again. So I searched the site and found the article. Thanks Enloe.

No way, it can't be 47 (!) years since I took these pics of my '63. July, 1972.

This was my '63 in a picture from about 1977. I was eventually told that is had an early production VIN that placed it among the the first 250-or so units. It incorporated a few slightly different features than later '63 cars. The passage of time has somewhat dimmed my recollection of details but I remember searching for the correct outside door mirror and locating one in a Missouri junkyard that was adjacent to a huge cornfield and about two acres of poison ivy. I bought it from a private party in Orange County, a lady who said, "I think that there is an old set of hubcaps and a weird-looking air cleaner (twin snorkel) that came with the car. Do you want those too?" I thought that they really set off the overall presentation of the car better than the Cadillac wire-spoke wheel covers and the Cal Custom flash-chromed air cleaner that had been added at some point.

Had this for about 35 years.
Was a 10 second car back in the 70s with a BB.
Car came out of Fremont if any one knows of it .

was in Car Craft in 79.
It was bought from a classified in back Hot rod after that.
Took the snorkel scoop and roll bar out years ago.
Still has the 57 Old rear end .

Saw the movie Ford Vs Ferrari tonight. I liked the movie and thought Damon and Bale played their roles pretty well. There may have been a few scenes with Corvettes but the scenes are not earth shattering IMO. Some of the racing scenes are pretty good for a movie.

This was posted by Robber in today's Friday Art Show. I think it has a very
kool look and thought others should see it. I made a couple of small edits,
but none to the car, and added the border.

^^ Not only does that 'vette look kool, so does the car show display. I miss the days
when stepping into a "Rod & Custom" show gave you a sense of excitement. These
days you just pay the exorbitant entry and pretty much shuffle along barely noticing
what you went there to see. I have to laugh...one day my wife finally said "No more.
I don't want to see painted gas cans, tools and angel hair. Go by yourself." I did.

CERV I (Chevrolet Engineering Research Vehicle) was developed by Corvette icon Zora Arkus-Duntov, with design work by Larry Shinoda and Tony Lapine. It was created as an open-wheeled testbed to assist with engineering for the Corvette that had the wheels, tires, and suspension visible to engineers at all times.

In order to maximise forces going through the suspension and show up any deficiencies in design, it was decided to make sure that the power-to-weight ratio was as high as possible. The chrome-molybdenum steel tube frame weighs just 125lbs (57kgs), the glass-fibre body tips the scales at just 80lbs (36kgs), and the rear-mid-mounted V8 (283 cubic inch, 350hp) weighed in at 350lbs – thanks to the extensive use of aluminium and magnesium components (saving over 175lbs).

The CERV I underwent a revamp with a new engine being added an a new body designed for better aerodynamics. The new V8 was a much more powerful 377 cubic inch aluminium small block, with a Rochester fuel injection system. Larry Shinoda redesigned the exterior glass fibre body panels for better aerodynamics, now including shrouds for the front A-arms and a small spoiler over the front vent. The speed was tested with its new skin, and it topped 206 mph – an astonishing figure for the early 1960s.

The CERV would've looked great on an F1 start grid along side Gurney's Eagle.
Also, after all these years, I've just noticed the Corvette / Camaro steering
wheel. Yeah, I'm on top of things.

The engine was a little large for F1 as the limit at that time was 3 litres.
