I've experienced some Heavy steering soo I replaced the front tires with a BF Goodrich TA P225/60/15 from P235/70/15, thinking smaller foot print easier steering. The heavy steering is being experience while standing still and at very low speed. I purchased a rack and pinion cross steer vega replacement from unisteer. The unit's shaft would rub the bottom engine pulley -returned. I've expended what little I know need your help and or recommendations

Welcome to the HAMB...I know nothing about your problem, but I know a lot about becoming a new old car guy. You'll get plenty of advice from the crew around here, just keep checking in and posting updates as you go. Beauty of a car to start with. Good luck.
