Projects Ford Mike's Roadster Build

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by Ford Mike, Mar 11, 2014.

  1. Had a blast at the Jalopy Showdown this past weekend and managed to find quite a few week links in the front suspension. The fan also took a couple chunks out of the radiator, at first I had no clue what happened to it but upon closer inspection it was pretty clear that the front motor mounts were loose. I'm also fairly certain that the rivet job we did on the front crossmember loosened up so that will have to be checked out. Oh well may as well take it back apart and mess up all the fresh paint.

Moral of the story, if you want to screw up lots of your hard work, don't tighten the motor mounts down on your flathead and run it as hard as you can.

Here are some really cool pics from the Showdown...

Its such a great show, can't wait until next year. I also hope to get these minor bugs worked out fairly soon and get to run in a few more track time events this summer.
