I’ve installed a reverse eye rear spring with several leaves removed to lower the back end.
The frame is stock (not Z’d)(yet).
Can I use center sections of the removed leaves to space the mounting clamp correctly, or is there another means of clamping the spring. I would like to use OEM parts (mounting clamp) if possible.
There is about a 1” difference in the stack height with the leaves removed.
What is the best way to clamp this spring in place?
    Thanks
    Ken

You took how many leaves out? One inch worth of leaves is maybe four? I think that's too much.

Henry Ford made different bottom tie bars for the clamps. The roadster bars have a higher rise since the roadster spring used less leaves. You could replicate the roadster bar by just welding a 3/8 or 1/2 thick chunk of steel to the original coupe bar. Then you don't have hokey short cutoff spring leaves looking like a mistake hanging down back there.

  4. or just do what Grumpy said and cut off the unused ones and stick them in the stack
