    There's a phrase you don't hear very often. :)

I have been welding the small metal replacement areas and I am ready to mount all of the wood in the car and attach the trunk panel. After that, I will tow it to the leaf spring shop.

I ran into a small hiccup with my Fairbanks bellhousing. It fits a 426 and I need it to fit my 392. Hopefully I can find a scatter shield somewhere to work for my set up or I'll be running a 4 speed instead.

Man that car is awesome you should be able to find a small block mopar scattershield fairly easily and mount it to the trans that’s what I did with my b&m clutch flight for my 392 also that 2 port looks like it has small throttle bores maybe it’s just an optical illusion compared to the 6-71 Blower keep up the good work

That 2 port is small, It's what I am planning on using for my 41 rust bucket that I will be building after I am finished with the 33. I only have it on there now because I don't want to cut the hole in the hood yet. I think I may use my Crower.

The Fairbanks is a TH400 with a 727 plate mounted to the front. I'm not having a lot of success finding a bellhousing that works with a clutch transmission since it was originally an automatic. I won't give up though, there is one out there somewhere.

Thank you! I am going to try to find something SFI since I will be racing.

  7. Damn. I can't believe the pricing on those old scattershields these days. I don't think I ever paid more than 200 bucks, when buying them. Hell, I'm only 47.

Sold a used, 85% painted, big block Ford, Lakewood last year for nearly what that guy wants. ^^^

Don't want to sell ... any more. Can't afford to buy one, I guess. :(

I saw this but it's WAY overpriced! I looked at old Egay listings and they sold for around $200, so I guess I'll hold out a little longer.

    You're right Drumyn29. I think I paid $100 for mine.

  10. The hard to find stuff that’s easily found is always higher priced.
Offer the guy 1/2. At least everything I put out for sale someone offers me half. You could propose a trade for an Xbox too. :p

Look at the swapmeets I seen one this last weekend for $200 but had to pass since I now have to fix the motor in my car and if you look carefully there are a lot of multi pattern Lakewood’s out there too the last one I bought is in my car and I wanted a small block mopar one for the same reason you are and it actually had both big block and small block patterns on it

re-drilled a few holes and it bolted right up. Small block and big block mopar bells are all the same bolt pattern. It was under $300

DANG!!! A Willys Coupe is one of only a few cars I'd trade my 56 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery for; does't matter the year either, just as long as it's a Willys Coupe. Then followed by a 56 Chevrolet Model 150 Handyman Wagon in as good of shape as my Delivery, then maybe a Ford T-Bolt (does't have to be "real"), and then maybe a big block 69to70 Nova SS. BUT, a Willys Coupe is still at the top of the list. Good luck with EVERYTHING you have there. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
