I have a 59 chevy apache & want to know if anyone else has swapped out the 235 inline 6 for an updated 250 inline need ideas for motor mount fabrication ideas maybe some pics thanks
you can probably buy mounts for a small block V8, then you just need the brackets that bolt to the engine block as used on 63-72 trucks. Then you pretend your Six is a small block V8, and bolt it right in. You'll need a bellhousing for the later 6 or V8, which is different from the bellhousing for a 235. btw I have no idea where you're going to find these brackets. I need this pair, unfortunately.
The older trucks took more work for a swap. My '65 C30 was a piece of cake, I believe I used everything like the basic mounts (not the chassis brackets) from the V8 donor. It went right up to the '65 bellhousing. I'm not sure what my truck came with, it had a Pontiac 215, a version of the Chevy 230.
