I have a 37 olds coupe and just picked up a 37 Cadillac complete front clip wondering if it will fit on my 37 olds any help?
I would be surprised if were a bolt on. Is your Olds a 6 or an 8 cylinder car? The six had a wheel base of around 117" I think the straight 8 cars were longer. Caddy's were at about 130 inches. So unless that difference is all made up in the body shell I don't think the front tires would fit in the wheel openings. Having said that.... get out a tape measure and start measuring things. Any thing can be made to fit. or easier yet. Just set the caddy front clip on the ground next to the olds. Lining up the rear of the front fenders and see where the wheel opening falls.. My avatar is a Ford 52 F series truck cab with 1941 Ford car front sheet metal on it. It looked like it grew there. Torchie
Did they make the big/little series of Caddies in '37? I knew they did in '39. It kinda looked like a 4 door '39 Chevy main body with Caddy nose & rear fenders......memory just went pppphutt, I could be wrong
what series of cadillac is the clip from?,60 series is the small one,65 is different,70 and 75 are different,85 is different,90 is the big 16 cylinder cars.post a picture and i can tell you what you have.37 has the hood that opens in 2 halves,38 has the clamshell 1 piece hood top.Lasalle is very similar to the 60 series, but not at all like the other series.I believe the 60 series is closer to a olds then the other ones are,my Avatar is a 60 series.
