Windshield frame in color, tank was also done but I wasn’t happy with the results so scuff and re-shoot!

 

Curious, 56, what part of Indiana are you from, me, I'm from Monticello. Bill

 

My 1931 avatar has the early 31 firewall that looks like a 1930 also

 

I am near Lawrenceburg, southeast Indiana. I knew a couple guys near the Monticello are. One owns a custom golf cart company, very nice guy named Jim Roller

 

Got a new toy to help lay down some color!

Had some help fixing some blemishes today before re-color and clear on the tank and windshield frame

 

The new gun sprayed great, still getting some contamination from the line. My next investment will be a better filter coming from the compressor

Great cars have great stories. They don't all get in the magazines. You're doing the car and the families involved right.

 

Please use that steering wheel as is. It is way too cool! Are you going to take the car to see the widow and family when it is done? Sometimes they like to know the car ended up in the right hands.

We plan on taking it to New Jersey for TROG so I’m sure we will try to make contact with them before hand

Had this made to replace the patent tag on the firewall. Originally had the old Ford logo but the company wouldn’t make it due to copyrights, so I paid homage to my dad’s Navy squadron.

 

The flathead is back and ready for assembly

It feels like all you do is take the car apart only to put it together over and over! Brackets welded on the frame and front end is looking good. Set the body on just to get a glimpse of the over all and was not disappointed. Next is to finish any loose ends on the frame and paint it

Thanks Bill, future plans are to enjoy it of course and haul it to trog. Maybe a 32 frame later on? Really looking forward to cruising in this one

Frame painted and starting to assemble

 

Rear leaf being relocated and made a template for a bracket to hold it in place, rear ride height will be slightly lower than this
