I can kind of see it in my head, but i'm hoping someone might have pictures of your TV cable set up (mount, linkage, etc) Thanks in advance
^ Yeah, theres not a whole lot to see with my tv cable, i thought i would have had a picture but i couldn't find one. I used the Bowler True shift for my truck with a 700r4, a little spendy for a ratcheting cable, carb brackets and a proprietary throttle bracket, but I've blown up enough automatic transmissions that it was worth the expense to me. https://www.bowlertransmissions.com...ift/tru-shift-throttle-correction-arm-system/
http://www.langdonsstovebolt.com/tech/professor-langdon-grades-your-235-driveline/ He may have something already for 235 usage. Summit has a PDF on cable installation(generic) but shows the geometry. http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/instructions/700r4 cable adjustment instructions.pdf From working on OT A/Gs I *think* the 78° sweep is correct. Buffalo Enterprises I think has a kit, but IIRC their website(page) is just contact info. http://www.inliners.org/buffalo/
I see trans adapter, but not cable for 216/235. http://www.langdonsstovebolt.com/store/#!/~/search/keyword=700R4 Here is an article that you might find useful https://www.stovebolt.com/techtips/trannyswap.htm This thread talks about TV cable on stovebolt. https://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/showtopic.php?tid/295172/
I made my own plate to bolt under the face of the carby using the diagram that Mad Mike has posted previously. Your concern may possibly be getting a cable long enough to reach the carby location on your choice of engine. My T700R4 is installed behind my Cadillac flathead engine and it only just reaches the carby. Bowtie did sell me a similar sandwich mounting plate for my 350 SBC engine to tranny project a few years back and it worked out just fine.
All I know is that incorrect adjustment of the TV cable can ruin your tranny. Maybe the valve body below would be an improvement since you have a non standard setup. https://www.summitracing.com/search/product-line/tci-constant-pressure-valve-bodies
