It's been a year now that I ordered my 91015629 Speedway 8BA flywheel. Having passed through the mock up period it was time to install the clutch and pressure plate. It was then that I discovered the pressure plate mounting bolt holes in the flywheel are threaded M8X1.25 rather than the 5/16-18 I expected.
I called Speedway to ask what the recommended attachment bolts were. They had no idea what to use on "their" flywheel.
ARP 108-2201 appears that it may work. Before I proceed, has anyone encountered this? And how did you deal with it? And yes the mounting holes are definitely threaded metric 8X1.25. Ron

    from omaha ne.

How about calling Fastenal or McMaster-Carr and see what they recommend. Ace hardware also has a phenomenal selection of fasteners.

    Possible.
The actual pressure plate mounting bolts (metric included) have a shoulder that indexes the pressure plate correctly to the flywheel. Ron

Those metric fasteners will be fine, only the thread is slightly finer than U.S. Std.
1.25 thread pitch on 8mm bolt diameter is very close to 5/16" U.S.S.
Rest assured that the manufacturer has matched the shoulder section of the shank with the diameter/bore depth for these bolts.

Mike, not sure I follow you. Which metric bolts are you referring to? Perhaps the ARP 108-2201. Appreciate the response. Ron
