Just found out my car would fail local vehicle inspection if I have my fuel cap just off the tank accessible inside the trunk. Now I am looking at options for custom external caps. Please post your caps and list names and suppliers.

What kind of car/truck and where is it accessible? Build and era? Pics of what you have?

Sorry, not the best photo but my cap is a flip top type located in the strip just ahead of the trunk EB301F84-5BB8-4B70-92AF-DCFD6AD906FD.jpeg

I had one of those centered in that panel behind the seat in my yellow roadster in my avatar. Have 2 on my parts shelf, was going to use one on my '31 coupe build in the same place as yours

Ran this on my Model A coupe, in the same location as Pist-N-Broke showed on the Model A. 1942 Ivano Gas Cap locking. This cap includes the original key in envelope and two new replica keys . Cap is a 1942, second war issue and as such was not chrome plated, original paint was dark grey wrinkle that had some chips from shelf wear. Repainted in black wrinkle. This cap includes the original key in envelope, you had to order additional keys to conserve brass for the war effort.

Model A has been sold but still have the cap.
