Finnegan and the Blasphemi seem to be running well. I was going down to Atco, but have too much to do at work, plus the weather is iffy. Red sky at morning, sailor take warning... the sun looked like one big orange meatball when I was on the road to work.
Everything was fixed last Friday. Just waiting for the converter. Shop said it will be ready for pick up Thursday. Spending the week watching the live feed while I work on the chevelle.
A few pictures today. I missed third gear on the first pass. Second run went on. I ran right after Finnegan, stopped at the top end to say hi. Then Bailey ran, I heard it was really fast. Photo op. Sent from my Trimline
Couple pictures from hotrod.com and today's route. You get to cross the Chesapeake bay bridge. It's a 4 mile bridge that is nearly 200 ft above the bay... beautiful views from the top.
Squirrel I read Bailey went 6.18 @ 238. I believe that is the quickest drag week pass ever. If I remember right lutz had the record at 6.19
How is that even possible. I can't keep a stock 283 running long enough to make it across country. These guys are insane fast.
Thanks Mikey. Either way they are all fast Roothawg this event is insane. To drive 1000+ miles and make at least 5 passes can be tough on any car
I need to see some racing! I’m going to take a break from working on my car and head on down to MIR tomorrow. Look forward to meeting ya’ll.
It is fact. David in the tower looked everything up today. He has all the stats. Drag week is HIS deal.
A lot of cars were almost HOT LAPPING today to get a faster run. The lanes closed at 1:15. Early for a drag week day. There will be carnage on the road tonight. Cars are breaking now due to the insane stress. Yea thats DRAG WEEK. Drive it Fast And Make It Last!!
Saw Jim's run in the Nova to much today with some others....great run there Jim - wish it was the Cuda but I've owned both so I can't be predigest - best wishes to all youse guys - really looks like fun....with a little work !
Jim just digs his car outta the barn washes it tops it off with some fuel and checks the fluids drives it all the way across the country makes low 10sec passes helps everyone else fix their new stuff all the while using ancient technology that no one else that’s on drag week has heard of let alone make start lol. Long live plan II good luck squirrel Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
The place we're staying tonight is a bit sketchy. It's after midnight, and I'm still up watching the parking lot. Might be a long day tomorrow. Sent from my Trimline
Hope you got some sleep! What place/city are you in? Here is the day 3 results .... And some pics from hotrod.com...
I suppose we could have offered up a few locals to stand guard on the parking lot overnight. Quite a few armed individuals in the area. I would have been happy to participate. Just for the record, I hate a thief and anyone who messes with someone's vehicle..............................Don.
It was fine, in the end. The desk clerk had a good handle on the situation, I don't think anyone had a problem. Steve brought all their stuff into the room, as usual. I spent a while talking with a family who was staying there, and hanging out in the parking lot. I let the teenage kids sit in my car, tried to explain what we're doing to them. We are in Waldorf.
