So this manifold has been modified to go on a 57 Lincoln 368 Y Block. It does not have a common plenum and each side of one carb. feeds two cylinders. 180 degree type. The heat crossover seems only to heat one path between two carburetors. (yellow line in photo) What is up with that configuration? Why heat only that passageway?
It looks like all that was done was to mill the angle where it meets the cylinder heads. It is noticeably thinner at the top edge than the bottom. It is possible that the bolt holes were enlarged/ovaled out somewhat as well. Not sure who did it. My job is to put the project car all back together. The long block has been rebuilt. I am not real sure it was running with this manifold or, not.
