  4. Dorian is going to rip the OBX a new one, I fear! It's path looks like it's going to run the barrier islands from Cape Lookout to Cape Hatteras THEN head out to sea! Sure wish he'd take a hard right soon!

We're roughly 75 miles (crow's flight) from the path of the storm, and we're forecasted to have 40+mph winds and 8+" of rain.

Head down and feet up! Stay safe all!

HRP is way inland, away from the storm. He might get some rain off it, but winds should be pretty low that far away.

Thousands of acres are still underwater from the floods in western Iowa 5 months ago. But that is old news.

  11. We are feeling the effects on the Island since Wednesday. Wind blowing the toys out of my pool, leaves down here and there. The seagulls are coming inland more, a sure sign of snotty weather coming. Today, rain all day.

  12. Got just clipped by the eye wall this morning in Morehead City, NC around 4am. Power is out, but the storm moved so fast, there was little serious damage. Nothing like last year with Florence. We are feeling blessed.

We got really lucky. It stayed off the coast enough to just give us some downed limbs but we didn't even lose power.
