Like the title says, an Edison Voicewriter. It's a model 74000 so that puts it from about 1933 thru 41 or so. The "Voicewriter" was an early dictation machine that cut your words into a record cylinder which the secretary could listen to afterwards and type to paper. The "full set" included the player for a typist and a grinder to clear the cylinder for reuse. I only have the writer. It has microphone as seen and also a cylinder tube (no wax/vinyl) as well as 3 file envelopes and folders. Its missing the knobs on the face but they're standard 'D' shafts. I don't have the electric cord. Surface rust showing is largely just that, on the surface. Nothing is rotten. This could be an awesome display piece in your vintage office space and everything is moving when advanced by hand. I don't doubt it could even work as is. Pictured by a 33" wheel n tire combo for scale/size, weight is about 40-45# max. Shipping is possible for actual quoted rate.
