Is it possible to acheive somthing like this (first pic) from one of these (second pic) ? , well I dont know yet, but Im going to try, and do it as a rebody (in the UK) legal wise on a budget of nil, this will proberbly be a long build but its an itch Ive got to scratch................................... let the Nay sayering begin.....................................
This is where its at so far, pleasing profile (to me anyway) is getting closer, engine and box in next to estimate the running height............
Love the idea of a new streamliner build. Seems like an odd foundation to start it on but you guys have different laws and such so I guess I understand. Looking forward to seeing more.
Me as well. Now that the original Timbs Special burned up I suspect we will see a few of these types of builds. Torchie
Engine/box rested in plus rear helper leaf removed so chassis now sits level, harder than it looks is trying to get a pleaseing fender profile but getting close..................
you have some visions, dude, i enjoy to watch this one, too. But don't let your other project down, it would be sad, you made some fantastic progress on that. Cheers, Carsten
Dont worry Carsten, not going to neglect the Capri, Sneaking up on the profile shape cut by cut....................................

With the chassis looking to be rather high and quite narrow (rails not particularly widely spaced) how are you going to be able to sit in it, instead of on it??? I am assuming it'll be a 2 seater. Top marks for the outside the box thinking for our shitty laws! Chris
I said at the top I hope for something similar, never said it had to have two seats and yes shitty laws to find a way round ha ha https://www.flickr.com/photos/ikeya/4922608720

Tryed it inline but not offset and still have all the the bits so you never know............................................
Still playing with the side on profile front looks wrong but cant see why....................... yet might try flicking the tail up a bit (Jocko/Chet liner ish) and see if it helps overall.......................
I think it’s just too cool. And to paraphrase an old line, son you’re gonna drive me to drinkin if you don’t start driving that hot rod Lincoln. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
