Hot Rods Looking for info:2 man race car

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 2tall2beahotrodder, Aug 18, 2019.

  1. Hey guys I have a good friend trying to track down information on his recent find: a two man racer from the 30s-40s

Does this look familiar or does the name ring a bell. Bob Blake of the Arlington VA area?
Was found in northern Virginia, it seems to been repurposed as a dirt car with a v8 at one time.
I have seen the craftmanship up close and its too nice for an novice build. The cowl section and tail seem to be older than the nose.

All information that he knows about is bob Blake used to build cars for Ted Horn and Tommy hinnershitz.

    Any leads would be helpful!

Check out the unique tail section! IMG_0581.jpg IMG_0583.jpg IMG_0580.jpg

I would start at the archives at the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing in York Springs, PA. EMMR.org. You aren't too far from there and they have a tremendous amount of information on these.

Also, post this in the Virginia & Maryland social groups.
Both groups have members with a wealth of regional racing history.:)
