Hey guys I have a good friend trying to track down information on his recent find: a two man racer from the 30s-40s Does this look familiar or does the name ring a bell. Bob Blake of the Arlington VA area? Was found in northern Virginia, it seems to been repurposed as a dirt car with a v8 at one time. I have seen the craftmanship up close and its too nice for an novice build. The cowl section and tail seem to be older than the nose. All information that he knows about is bob Blake used to build cars for Ted Horn and Tommy hinnershitz. Any leads would be helpful! Check out the unique tail section!
I would start at the archives at the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing in York Springs, PA. EMMR.org. You aren't too far from there and they have a tremendous amount of information on these.
X2 Also, post this in the Virginia & Maryland social groups. Both groups have members with a wealth of regional racing history.
Scroll down to Dave Henderson's second post and he tells a bit on Bob Blake. Second generation of 2 seat Indy cars in the Mid 30's ? https://forums.aaca.org/topic/182604-look-mom-no-chains/ Great looking body at any rate and saved to my inspiration file for my roadster. Somewhat of the Bob Blake history https://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/f...tos/bob-blake-of-jaguar-'an-artist-in-metal'/
