Took this pic at the local general store, but was curious if anyone had an idea what it was. Further north, in a small village they used to have a prop powered vehicle with skis on display, but unfortunately it is no longer there. I believe there were a multitude of contraptions created over the years to navigate the frozen north. At least that's how Bombardier got started.

  4. From the side curtains, I would say a 32 Chevy roadster. Who would make one of those out of a roadster? It would give you frostbite.

I would say Dodge just to be a wise ass but I would never insult a 32 Chevy like that:p so I will say a 32 Chevy that mated with a track vehicle.

It’s was a big thing for the Model T back in the starting late 19-teens.A couple companies made kits and I guess Ford got involved in aspects as well? I’ve seen one in real life in WI when I was on a sled trip.

A bit of history. Dr. Geggie's house still exists in the village across from the general store, and is now a bed & breakfast. The village of Wakefield, QC is about as picturesque as anything I've seen. I'd encourage anyone within driving distance to come and visit. There used to be a steam train that ran from Gatineau QC, up to Wakefield, where there was/is a turntable and the engine (1905 German vintage) would be turned around 180 degrees by one person. It's very sad that the steam train stopped running about 8 years back. A damn tragedy if you ask me. There is nothing like living in the country or a small town. Simpler times when neighbours were neighbours and communities took care of their own.

Picture is dated "1930's" . Reading comprehension , something that is sorely lacking on internet forums , or in society in general for that matter !
