He is the WORST!!!!!!!!! in the world!!!! Do not use him! He currently owes me $850.00 and now I need to send him to small claims court! "Oh" he's a good B.S'r. Don't let him fool you! If you have any questions feel free to ask me! Read some old forums on him! He charges you and never sends out your seats! He is the first person in 38 years to rip me off!

Yeah, I used him a few years back, seat where OK, I wont say good or perfect, but getting them was a hassle, took forever and he was bad at communicating.
Dont know that I would want to go thru all that again.
    Best of luck...

  4. Sounds like he's a real TURD! Ther's gotta be a hundred places in Cal not far from you.

To save you there is a true quality seat vendor listed here in the HAMB. He is Bob at Bengels' Hot Rod and Off Road in Spring valley, CA. Great craftsman, great product. He backs and solidly guarantees what he sells and if things are wrong he'll go the extra mile to get them right (if humanly possible). I deal with Bob regularly and can attest to his quality, honesty and dependablility. Why get tangled up with a vendor with a negative past? Its your money and Bob at Bengel's will give you what you want and what you paid
    for.

Wow, Normbc9 Its always nice to hear we are doing things right. We work very hard to make sure our customers are taken care of in the way we would expect to be treated. From time to time things do fall through the cracks, when this happens we are quick to correct the issue to the best of our ability. Our goal is to help you make your car build or upgrade as cool and easy as possible. We do very little in advertising but the referrals and testimonials like this are keeping us very busy building seats. Thanks Normbc, as well as all the other HAMB members for spreading the word. It is appreciated.

I got my seats made by the barrett seat company through WinTec Fabrication. I actually paid for them through many of the Barrett Co's website and oddly had my money refunded like 2 weeks later with no explanation. I noticed them on Wintec's site when looking around for seats again. I called them to see what was up he had the seats I was after in stock at his store and I had them in a few days. The quality is nice and the are pretty comfortable.

I would contact Wintec to see what he has in stock rather than dealing with them direct.

MAN... Am I glad to find this thread... and the others..
I recently sent him an inquiry about doing a solo seat for a chopper...

kinda got the run around... e-mail conversation only...
I'm 30 mins away.. in ct. I'd like a dang phone # or an address and see what you can do.... nope...

got a bad vibe right away....

reckon I'll fab a seat pan myself and have the local upholstery guy cover it....

if you want something done right....

For years I used seats built by Frank Wallic that were very high quality but Frank retired. I recently gave irishpol who runs an ad on here a try. I was a little skeptical based on the price and delivery promise. I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered the buckets with the seat-belt slots. They arrived in the promised time and the quality was good. They were well made although not as heavy as the Wallic seats. I feel for the money if they are mounted correctly they will work just fine.
