LB that Corvette looks like it is in the LI neighborhood of Levittown, I tried blowing up the picture and it looks like a NY plate but I can't tell. In any case that was only a few year old Corvette at that time. Can you imagine doing that to a fairly new Corvette now.

This GSR Grand Sport was driven by both Mike Miller and Aaron Quine.

The 550hp Chevy 434 powerplant propelled Miller to a 10.68 e.t., and as car No. 150, Quine ran the strip in 10.61.

  7. Pat, I don't know about Levittown, but those are NY tags. The houses kinda do look alike though, don't they?

I dig 'em. Had a set on my '85 Mustang GT. Then I joined the Weld Drag Lite gang.

  24. A Corvette guy recently told me that modified cars are bringing more money than stock ones. Maybe it’s true. Stock 427s would be an exception though.

Yes it is. I worked for that company years ago before going into the service. As far as chains go it was pretty good. Plus they give military discounts.

I think it goes in waves. In a few years when today’s modifieds look funky like the 80’s and 90’s stuff then maybe stockers will go up again. When I tried sell my OT 60’s corvette with slots, hooker side pipes, L88 hood, Richmond 5spd and non matching number 350 I couldn’t sell it for nothing because it wasn’t stock. That was in 2003.

Here is mine. Old picture, I still have it. Currently, no engine in it, or back half. user66728_pic43674_1232908416.jpg
