I put a half '36 and half '40 dash in my '30 coupe...
it is deep enough to jam the coupe window regulator's handle...
I posted about it but can't find the post...
the easy fix was right in front of me...
the coupe doors were also used on fordors…
fordor window regulators mounted mid door...
    The problem is cured....
the coupe / sportie used the 3 screw triangle pattern at the front... like tudor and truck...
the fordors used the 4 bolt pattern nearer the center...

    Great tech @sloppy jalopies...

So did you drill holes mid door and use the fordor mechanism or did you cut out and splice in the fordor inner panel with mechanism or the other holes are there too?

So all I need to do is get the fordor regulators and that will cure this problem? Anything else required? This is awesome news as I was considering power windows and really didn't want to go that way. This will be way better, thanks.

The 4 holes are there, memory says the Murrays used the mid door 4 hole regulators...
note the holes are in a diamond pattern not the 12/3/6/9 o'clock pattern in the coupe inner door skin.
pix of murray fordor front door regulators... all the same side... errrr.

Wonder if an old, glass, French door knob would be enough leverage on a coupe's window ?
let us know the results if anyone can try it...

I just opened the door to roll the window up or down.. That is, when I had actual windows in the door....

So after studying my Snyder's catalog for the four bolt regulators will I need to get the new glass channels for the bottoms of the glass also? They offer three different styles for the fordors; Briggs, Murray, and Ford. Any idea which one will work correctly? The Briggs and Murray pieces are not cheap at $52.oo each but the Ford ones are only $10.00 each. How do I tell which ones to get. I've got a 31 coupe with a 40 dash that I adapted in. I don't think its a deluxe coupe as it has a fixed rear window and no rumble seat.
