Lets see your vintage model cars

  1. Cool piece of car modeling history you got there. I have acquired some trophies from that era...Revell Pactra / Revell Testors ...I didn't win them though...I thought they should be preserved rather than end up in somebody's trash.

Thanks, I gave away all my models except for two, when I grew into 1/1 scale. Wish I saved a couple more ! Ed.

{I cant remember were it came from}? Sometimes I just pick up stuff at a swap meets. Sometimes the wife and kids get me stuff too. It's just 50 years of doing that! lol and I never get rid of anything either. I do still have most of my models, and some of the toys I had as a kid. But I never stopped playing with toys. Lol;) {WOJOJO} Here's some of the original photos of it, plus a few more. 260.jpg 886.jpg 1295.jpg 1859.jpg 20160204_165941.jpg 20160519_105310.jpg 20170205_031545.jpg 20170226_044307.jpg Sometimes I play artsy with my phone. lol  Thanks RON....

The photo is bad faded, some too the fact it stayed in camera for a few years before being develiped an part from age.= it was fire engine red painted. 1954MoyerWoodGocart.jpg

Love that two toned 58 Chevy Highboy.Your dad was one talented dude ,making an original pedal car instead of just buying one like everyone else.Despite the photo I never thought he would paint it pink!

  21. Just a bump , now that this thread has been moved to the antiquated forum. I really like this form. So lets see some more of your old vintage models. It's hard to remember what models I've posted?? So sorry if I repost a model. ;) Thanks Ron..... 118.jpg 597.jpg

  24. Does anyone know what year AMT first came out with their 3 in 1, '32 Ford roadster kit? I'm guessing it had to be about 1958 or 1959. Maybe as late as 1960.

  25. It was first issued in 1959 as the first model in the "Trophy" series. That's the box art from '59. Of course, it was re-issued a number of times since then starting in 1960.
