How do you tell a repro 33-34 headlamp lens from an original. Do the repro have the McKee and Co. at circumference? Thanks

'33 headlights were 1" longer than '34s... '33 had 1 center handle on the hood... '34 had a front handle so henry shortened the headlight to clear the front handle...

  3. There's many differences between a 33 and 34 Ford, but I believe the op is asking about the headlight lens.

Yes lens repo or original differences.

There is a very detailed article on the differences between '33 and '34 headlights and taillights in the March/April issue of the V-8 Times. The article however does not say anything about the reproduction lens. The reproduction glass that I have seen, does not have the logo on the edge. It's also incorrect that the '34 is an inch longer. The '33 headlight bucket is 6 and 7/8" deep and the '34 bucket is 6 and 1/4' deep, 5/8" difference. The rims, reflectors and lenses are the same. Unless the glass is vastly different from an original, judges won't have an issue with it if that's what you are concerned with.
