    With the recent passing of NSRA's Joe Mayall, I got kinda nostalgic tonight and was thumbing through my dad's old '70s & '80s streetscene magazines ... and came across this in the August 1980 "rappin' with the reps" column:

    NOTE: The "Best Bitchin'" award that Jerry's '36 won at the Merced '79 event was picked by my father ... with a bit of proding from me ... I guess I had an eye for Traditional Hot Rods even when I was a teenager!

    I live in the same town with Jerry, he and his wife are great people. He has two of the nicest cars on the central coast.

    I just purchased Jerrys 36 from his wife and been cleaning it up. Can't believe it was painted by Sam Foose in 1975. Jerrys 36 is in Thousand Oaks, Ca. now and will be well cared for.
