Projects 35 hood ornament attachment

    Finally got to the point of reassembly of my 35 ford when i came to put on the hood ornament. I dont remember what the 2 bolts on the back of the hood ornament threaded into. The picture shows it sitting on the grill. Is there supposed to be a threaded plate under the grill?

    That plate that also acts as the rod brace is(or should be) threaded to attach the emblem.The hood hinge bracket goes on top of the back of the emblem also.12X24 is the thread and countersunk flat head screws.

    Thanks. I had the radiator to the repair shop and they must have filled in those 2 threaded holes with lead. Going to have to dig it out.

    If that is the case you will need a bottoming tap to clean the threads.
