Nothing to do with Willys but I have to show Pop.
Here's my Dad in the 1940s with his 33 Dodge in SF.

Went to the Memorial Day bracket races at Sears Point yesterday.
Good turn out, even had a couple 5 second cars.

Trailered my friend's coupe to a shop in Brentwood, Ca. and they were working on a Bonneville car.
I had mentioned earlier about the aluminum coupe that was being built there as well,

When I had my car at my fabricator's [home] shop he also had this Willys
    sedan sitting there.
Barry bought it and turned into a dirt racer.
Barry also bought a Ford ramp truck from my friend Dave pictured behind his
    Maverick race car Mr. Blue.
I've known Dave for 50 years. That's another long story....
Barry also had this Willys coupe...

Drove out to Stockton twice and purchased two late 60s Pontiac rear ends [wheels to wheels]
from Art. He gave the wife and I a tour of the place.
    It's a wreckers but with a lot more. Art Gustafson coupe.jpg Art G Willys.jpg
He also has a 33 Willys,

    Just to elaborate on the two pictures above;
the previous owner was so desperate to finish the car he robbed a bank and got caught.
    No name mentioned.
The car was auctioned off in "as is" condition [top photo], Art bought it, completed it and raced it.
    Interesting story...

Haven't had a drink in 20 years but when I did, I sometimes went to this bar in SF
on a Friday night after work.
Fizzees, it has an altered on the wall.
More recently I found out that they let people climb up and sit in it for a photo op.
Willys related? Guess not but worth a mention, Fizzee's altered.jpg

    Back to Willys...
I use to race at the Half Moon Bay drag strip in the early 1960s with Andy Brizio as my flag starter.
For those who don't know Andy is Roy Brizio's father, he owned Andy's Instant Ts next to Champion Speed Shop in South S.F.

The late Mark Andermahr owned the Half Moon Bay Bakery at 514 Main St. and he had a ton of drag racing photos on the walls of the bakery; all shots from the HMB drags. Lots of famous cars especially Willys.

Sadly Mark had passed away in 2016 but the current owner let us in to take a few shots, HMB Bakery 7.jpg HMB Bakery 1.jpg HMB Bakery 2.jpg HMB Bakery 3.jpg HMB Bakery 4.jpg HMB Bakery 5.jpg HMB Bakery 6.jpg

Hi Bill, don't remember what the yellow coupe had for power.
I've got a few extra parts too, guess I should sell them.
New [still in the box] straight tube axle, quarter elliptic springs [two pair],
Joe Hunt magneto w/lots of $ invested, 60 series B&M shifter, etc; etc.

Completely off topic but had to share this.
I had taken a 1/2 hour ride in a B17 a few years back and was telling the wife about it.
    So she took a 1/2 hour ride in a B17 a week ago, EC B17 031.JPG what a kick.
    Back to Willys "stuff" tomorrow,
