Just doing some final aligning on an aftermarket mustang ll front end. So with the caster angle I am a little confused. I turned the tires inward 20 degrees, zeroed out the camber gauge and then turned the tires outward 20 degrees. What I ended up with was a reading of about 1.5 degrees with the wheel tilted “outward” at the top and in at the bottom. Now, does this mean I have 1.5 degrees positive or negative caster? Camber is set at zero right now. Thanks
Turning the wheels 20* each way is to measure caster. Your "wheels tilted outward" comment is more camber related. Caster is the lean of the spindle axis front to back. To measure camber set the wheels pointed straight ahead, level the gauge and read the camber direct. Most gauges have the +/- marked on them, never seen one that didn't. MII is totally off topic so read fast before this thread disappears. SPark
