Technical Cadillac 331 crankshaft casting numbers

Hello all,

I'm looking to replace the crankshaft on my 1952 Cadillac 331.

The crank on it now has a casting number of 1455101.

I have cranks with casting number 1462473 advertised also for 331.

Does anyone know if these 2 cranks can be interchanged ?

 

'49 - '54 cranks interchange according to Motor's 1956 flat rate. Will check the casting book at work for more info.

 

All 331 cranks will interchange .

 

All 331 cranks may physically fit but there is a difference in the bolt pattern on the flywheel flange. I have a '55 331 and found this out the hard way.
